Today City Network, one of the fastest growing IaaS providers in Europe, announces the launch of a new service for the Enterprise market. With Desktop as a Service (DaaS) customers can give their employees secure access to their unique desktop configuration and apps from any hardware platform as they work in a completely cloud based desktop solution.

By optimizing companies’ investment in hardware for end users, as well as enabling centralized distribution of updates and patches, DaaS from City Network will save both time and money for any organization.

– These days, employees count on being able to reach their data from any device where ever they are, says Johan Christenson, CEO of City Network. For the IT department this means increased cost for administration and at the same time securing data becomes more demanding when users mix private and work related data. This is why we are releasing our streamlined and cost effective Desktop as a Service.

Desktop as a Service is now available for all users of City Networks IaaS City Cloud. Companies can now ensure that corporate information is stored in a location of their preference, regardless of where the user is located at the moment. Each customer get a customized solution based on their needs. The service supports a number of platforms from start, among them iOS, Android, Windows, MacOS and BlackBerryOS 10.

– This is the first product derived from our initiative towards enterprise customers that we introduced earlier this year. We see an increased demand for cloud-based services, says Johan Christenson.

Desktop as a Service is purchased based on the customers specific needs. The price range is between $10-$20 per month and desktop depending on graphics performance for each user.
